Trust & Data
Trust & Data
How HiD Number handles information — sources, security, permissions, corrections, and the boundaries that protect everyone.
How your information is protected
HiD Number applies layered safeguards across every part of the platform — from how data is stored to how it is shared.
Encrypted at rest and in transit
All property records, documents, and account data are encrypted using industry-standard protocols. Data in transit uses TLS. Stored data is encrypted at the infrastructure level.
Owner-controlled sharing
You decide what is shared and with whom. No professional, lender, or HOA receives automatic access. Permissions are set by the account holder and can be revoked at any time.
Source-labeled records
Every record is labeled by its source type: documented, reported, estimated, or not independently verified. You always know the basis for what you are reading.
Audit log
Every access event, document upload, and permission change is logged. Account holders can review their activity history at any time from within the platform.
Property-bound, not person-bound
Your HiD Number is assigned to the property address, not to you personally. When you transfer ownership, you control what moves with the record and what stays private.
Corrections process
If information appears inaccurate, you can request a correction. Each request is reviewed before any change is made. Supporting documentation may be required.
Where the intelligence comes from
HiD Number draws from a seven-tier address resolution stack and multiple authoritative public and licensed data sources. Every source is labeled in the record.
Property & Ownership
- ATTOM Data Solutions (property facts, ownership history, permits)
- US Census Bureau (ACS 2023, Public AR)
- County assessor and recorder records
Risk & Environment
- FEMA National Flood Hazard Layer (flood zones)
- USGS National Seismic Hazard Model (seismic risk)
- NOAA Climate Data Online (weather history)
- EPA ECHO (environmental proximity)
Address Resolution
- SmartyStreets (address validation and geocoding)
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim (fallback geocoding)
- LexisNexis (enhanced address intelligence)
- US Census TIGER/Line (geographic boundaries)
Owner & Professional Documents
- Owner-uploaded documents (receipts, warranties, photos)
- Verified contractor work records
- Inspection reports (owner-submitted)
- Approval-gated third-party records
Source availability varies by property and location. Every record is labeled by source type in the platform. HiD Number is not a government registry and does not replace official public records.
Security & Protection
HiD Number uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information it maintains. Safeguards are reviewed and updated as the service evolves. No system can guarantee absolute security — account access protection is a shared responsibility between HiD Number and the account holder.
Information Sources & Labeling
Records connected to a HiD Number come from authorized owner and professional documents, approved public or third-party sources, service records, and other permitted sources. Each record is labeled by source type — documented, reported, estimated, or not independently verified — so the basis for every item is clear.
Corrections & Disputed Information
If information connected to a property appears inaccurate, contact customer success with the property identifier, the item in question, and supporting documentation. Each request is reviewed before a correction or clarification is made. Processing time depends on the complexity of the request and whether additional documentation is required.
Retention & Availability
The permanent identity connected to a HiD Number is designed to remain with the property. Availability and retention of reports, documents, and paid services are governed by applicable plan and service terms. When a paid plan ends, the permanent identity remains — access to paid features is subject to current plan terms.
Owner Permissions & Control
Authorized users control what is shared and with whom. Selected documents may be shared without exposing the full account. HOAs, lenders, insurers, and professionals do not receive automatic access. Permissions are set by the authorized account holder and may be adjusted at any time within the platform.
Professional & Organizational Use
HiD Number provides labeled context — it does not make lending, coverage, claim, or legal decisions. Professionals are responsible for verifying information required for their assignments through standard methods. Organizational accounts may configure role-based access so authorized teams can collaborate without identical permissions.
HiD Number Is Not a Government Registry
HiD Number is a private property intelligence service. Unless a specific authorized integration states otherwise, it does not replace official public records, government registries, deeds, title records, parcel numbers, or any other legal instrument. It organizes and connects approved information — it does not create legal rights or obligations.
Trust requires both context and boundaries. Source-labeled information. Purposeful permissions. Clear professional responsibility.
